Originally founded as the Remittance Department of Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SACOMBANK), SACOMBANK Remittance Express Company Limited was officially established with an initial charter capital of 1 billion VND.

With the goal of expanding and developing its business operations, SACOMBANK-SBR has consecutively raised its charter capital from 1 billion VND to 4 billion VND, and officially reached 15 billion VND in 2012.

As a subsidiary with 100% capital from Sai Gon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SACOMBANK), SACOMBANK-SBR's remittance payment network covers 42 provinces and cities across Vietnam with 552 transaction points nationwide

With a vision of continuous improvement and determined innovation to breakthrough its position in the remittance industry, SACOMBANK-SBR restructured business operations, streamlined the management system and regulatory document system, restructred human resources.

SACOMBANK-SBR repositioned itself, focusing on technological advancements to achieve the goal: Global Remittance – Leading Fintech, with major milestones:
+ Quarter I/ 2020: Integrating partners’ system via API, replacing traditional connection methods.
+ Quarter I/2021: Launched the 24/7 automated API system for receiving remittances, supporting beneficiaries in Vietnam to receive money within 30 seconds, even days off and holidays.

+ Quarter IV/2021: SACOMBANK-SBR solidified its top position in the remittance market and was honored by the prestigious International Business Magazine (IBM) with the following awards:
+ Excellence in Remittance Vietnam 2021.
+ Customer Satisfaction in Remittance Service Vietnam 2021.

Carring out the mission of connecting customers with Fast – Safe – Accurate remittance services, SACOMBANK-SBR continued to make remarkable progress in business:
+ July 2022: Officially cooperated with VNPT Money.
+ November 2023: Officially launched "SACOMBANK-SBR Care", the first customer care app in the remittance sector in Vietnam.

+ Outstanding Achievement in Remittance awarded by the State Bank of Vietnam.

In 2024, SACOMBANK-SBR has continued to strongly develop comprehensive digitalization in many aspects:
+ Quarter III/2024:
- Launching the official Sacombank-SBR Zalo OA channel.
- Officially cooperating with the ZaloPay payment application.

+ Quarter IV/2024:
- Improving and launching a new-generation SACOMBANK-SBR website, redefining the brand.
- Applying digital solutions in management and administration, enhancing operational professionalism. -
